Theft at Mallaig cardlock gas station sees 900 litres of fuel stolen

Police are investigating a major fuel theft in Mallaig and are asking for the public’s help.

On Oct. 31, at approximately 9:13 a.m., St. Paul RCMP received a call for theft at a cardlock gas station at 3801 2 Street in Mallaig that had occurred overnight, police said.

St. Paul RCMP attended the scene and determined that a blue Dodge truck pulled up to a tank, broke the pump, and stole nearly 900 litres of gas.

There is surveillance footage of the truck and now the RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle involved.
