A Cold Lake woman is facing charges after a confrontation with Bonnyville RCMP earlier this week.

Police got a call on Tuesday afternoon that a woman was screaming and yelling on 50th Avenue and 52nd Street.

When the cops arrived, they tried to speak with her, police said.

The woman was not cooperating and assaulted both police officers, RCMP said.

She was then placed under arrest and further resisted arrest before being taken into custody and brought before a Justice of the Peace . She was released without any cash bail. 

Laura-Lee Alook, 36, from Cold Lake is charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. She is set to appear in court on November 15th.
