Esther will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter: Miranda Cardinal; sons: Edward Cardinal (Roseanna Castor), Martin Cardinal; adopted children: Darlene, Valerie, Kevin, Cindy, Sheila; grandchildren: Gabriel, Storm, Caleb, Mikayla, Maurice, Corrina, Constance, Rain, Milla, Lucas, Evan, Noella, Ryan, Shelly, Aaron, Randy, Martin, Julian, James; twenty-five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brothers: Leon, Leslie; sisters: Maggie, Arlene, Noreen, Wendy; as well as numerous other relatives.

Esther was predeceased by her husband: Peter Cardinal; daughter-in-law: Beverly Hunter; two grandchildren: Corrina, Blair; great grandchild: Marcus; parents: Frank & Bella Cardinal; adopted children: Robert, Robin; sisters: Connie, Rema; brother: Chester; parents-in-law: Barner & Catherine.

Wake, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish, Alberta, leaving Memento Funeral Chapel St. Paul at 11:00 a.m.

Funeral Service, Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake, Alberta with Reverend Billy Jackson officiating. Pallbearers: Storm Cardinal, Caleb Cardinal, Gabriel Chief, Aaron Cardinal, Martin Hunter, James Hunter, Maurice Quinn-Hunter, Rain Cardinal. Honorary Pallbearers: All her friends and family at the Vilna Lodge, Breast family and Houle family. Final resting place, Hilltop Cemetery, Goodfish Lake, Alberta. Final Resting place, Hilltop Cemetery, Goodfish Lake, Alberta.
