Chamber awards recognize resiliency through tough times
Bonnyville area businesses and non-profits were all dolled up on Friday in recognition of their perseverance during the past two and a half tumultuous years.
The Bonnyville & District Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Our Resiliency Runs Deep 2022 Business Awards’ was held at the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre to recognize the commitment to service and staying open during the pandemic.
For the seven award categories, 40 businesses and groups were nominated for awards.
The evening included dinner and drinks for those who attended.
“The Chamber always believes in supporting our incredible businesses, and we were honoured to host the Resiliency Runs Deep Awards on Friday. This year hit a little different, being able to come back together after some of the most challenging years we have ever experienced really helped lift our spirits,” said executive director Serina Parsons.
“We had over 80 nominations, more than ever before, this tells that that one good thing has come out of the last few years, the importance of our local entrepreneurs and shopping local. They are the true drivers of our local economy and we hope they felt inspired by the love and dedication shown by our community and sponsors.”
