St. Paul RCMP respond to 213 calls for service last week.
Over the last week the St Paul RCMP have responded to 213 calls for service. The St Paul RCMP is responsible for the areas of Goodfish Lake Cree Nation #128, Saddle Lake Cree Nation #125, the town of St Paul and surrounding rural areas.
Of the 213 calls the RCMP responded to 59 mischief calls, 17 assaults, 13 suspicious person/vehicles, 12 thefts, seven break and enters, seven mental health calls, six missing persons, three theft of vehicles, two sexual assaults, two discharge firearm with intent, and one arson.
On Oct. 8, 2022 at approximately 10:00 p.m., St. Paul RCMP responded to a call at the Saddle Lake Ambulance Bay to assist with a male who had a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The male was airlifted to Edmonton to treat injuries. The matter is under investigation.
Between Oct. 7 and Oct. 10, 2022, the St. Paul RCMP participated in an impaired driving initiative “Operation Impact”. During this initiative, 30 vehicles were stopped between three check stops, resulting in two impaired charges.
