On October 5, 2022, Mr. Louis Moosewah of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 77 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gloria; children, Domonic, Anthony, Glen (Debbie), Cheryl (Melvin), Carol, Frank, Leonard & Stewart; adopted children, Ron & Elaine Beardy, Catherine McIvor, Gloria & Keith McKay, Sheryl Cardinal “Tubby”, Jason (Mary) Whiskeyjack & family and Bobby Moosewah; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law, Victor (Tina) Houle; numerous nieces & nephews; his cat, Putty Mow.

Louis was predeceased by his parents, Baptiste & Christine; 3 brothers, Alex, Joe & Ernest; 4 sisters, Eva L’Hirondelle, Annette McGilvery, Rose McGilvery & Lillian Moosewah; adopted mother, Therese Cardinal; granddaughter, Christine; 2 great-grandsons in infancy; mother- & father-in-law, Evangeline & Wilfred Favel.

A Wake will be held on Monday, October 10 (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
