In Loving Memory of John Edward Martin – Mission View Funeral Chapel

With heavy hearts and much sorrow, the family of John Edward Martin of Lac La Biche, Alberta announce his passing at the age of 82 years.

John is lovingly survived by his wife of 59 years: Belle Martin; children: Darryl (Donna), Darcy (Christine), Diana, Vaughn (Tara), Cheri (Lyle); grandchildren: Erica, Devin (Julia), Chantina, Delaney (Josh), Brailey, Kelly, Kylan, Kale; one great grandchild on the way; brother: Lou Martin; sisters: Denise Bachand, Alice (Warren) Bloomquist, Patricia (Charles) Torrey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

John was predeceased by his parents: Henry & Rose Martin; brothers: Bill, Phil, Frank; sister: Joan (John) Shaw; brothers-in-law: Leo Bachand, Larry Brown, Maynard Laliberte, Garnet Houle; sisters-in-law: Lillian Laliberte, Bernice Houle.

Viewing: Monday, September 12, 2022 at Mission View Funeral Chapel from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Lac La Biche Heritage Center at 11:00 am.

Pallbearers: Erica Thompson, Devin Martin, Chantina Law, Delaney Hamelin, Brailey Martin, Kelly Martin, Kylan Breton, Kale Breton.

Honourary Pallbearers: All friends and family and everyone from Lac La Biche Heritage Society.
