Bonnyville experiences power and water interuptions early Tuesday morning
Power & water has been restored to most of Bonnyville and Moose Lake thanks to the quick response from emergency crews.
Early Tuesday morning, the majority of town was without water and some parts without power after a truck took out four power poles. The estimated time for full restoration is early this evening, approximately 5:30 pm.
The effected power poles were located near Boon Energy (on 52 Avenue, near 55 street). It is confirmed that it was not a Boon Energy truck or employee that had caused the incident.
Crews worked diligently to secure the scene and restore services, however, some areas of Bonnyville are still without power. The Town of Bonnyville has released a statement on their Facebook page from Atco Electric.
This morning there was a third-party contact to our electricity facilities on the west side of Bonnyville, which is causing an outage in the Town of Bonnyville. Our crews are on site working as safely and quickly as possible to restore power to the area. Our estimated time of restoration is 5:30 p.m. We thank you for your patience.
