In Loving Memory of Alfred “Allie” Emil Desjarlais – Memento Funeral Chapel

The family of Alfred “Allie” Emil Desjarlais of Elizabeth Metis Settlement, Alberta is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the age of 75 years.

Alfred will be lovingly remembered by his two children: Rachel (Wayne) Solway of Elizabeth Metis Settlement, Mike (Karen) Desjarlais of Elizabeth Metis Settlement; nine grandchildren: Tim, Colton, Kaylee, Jonah, Tanis, Tina-Anne, Lucus, Samuel, Tianna; six precious great-grandchildren: Marissa, Gracia, Soren, Lexie, Lucie, Lillian; three brothers: Pat (Cathy) Desjarlais, Cecil (Joanne) Desjarlais, Fred Desjarlais; two sisters: Velma (Eddie) Soloway, Annie Davies; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and fence post cousins.

Alfred was predeceased by his daughter: Jennifer Desjarlais (1974); parents: Alfred & Marion Desjarlais; twin brother: Floyd Eugene Desjarlais (1947).

Wake, Friday, September 9, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., at Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall, Elizabeth Metis Settlement, AB leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, AB at 11:00 a.m.

Funeral Service, Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Settlement Community Hall, Elizabeth Metis Settlement, AB with Reverend Donna Gauthier officiating, cremation to follow. Honorary Pallbearers: Henry Desjarlais, Joe Jackknife, Gilbert Jackknife, Emil Blyan, Jim Graham, Les Giebelhaus, George Heinz. Pallbearers: Lucas Desjarlais, Sam Desjarlais, Jonah Desjarlais, Tyrelle Swan, Joel Desjarlais, Rick Smith.
