Elk Point emerge at the hospital will be closed several times next week due to registered nursing coverage shortages at the facility, AHS said on Friday.
The Emergency Department will not be open during the daytime hours from 7:00am to 7:00pm on Sunday, Aug. 21.
Then, overnight hours from 7:00pm to 7:00am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights the ER is closed.
Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency. Nurses will remain on site in acute care.
Earlier this week there was two nights with a similar closure.
