Cold Lake Fighter Jets begin playoff push Saturday

The Cold Lake Fighter Jets bid to become Alberta Football League champions gets going this Saturday.

The Fighter Jets after two weeks off and an impressive undefeated 6-0 record will host the Calgary Wolfpack at Thomas Varughese Field on Saturday night.

In their final regular season game, the Fighter Jets continued their domination with a 64-0 victory over the Central Alberta Buccaneers on July 23rd.

With some rest and recovery time, a push toward a provincial championship begins, along with the right to play the champs from the east coast.

It is the first playoff game in the franchise’s history.

Earlier this season, Cold Lake beat Calgary 33-7, but this time, the Fighter Jets will be the home side.

If Cold Lake secures a win, they punch their ticket for the AFL Championship game the following Saturday.

Kickoff is 6:00pm and tickets are available at the door.
