Talent Show to search out top vocalists and jiggers

The summer activities roll on this August long weekend with a bustling few days of events in Lac La Biche.

Along with the Summer Days Fish Fry and Fair events, Lees Burger Baron is putting on a Talent Show for local artists.

The action begins Friday night with a supper and dance at the Bold Center. Rockin Fiddle will perform along with Alex Kusturok. The supper begins at 6:00pm and the dance at 8:00pm with separate tickets for each.

On Saturday, is the vocal portion of talent competition. Registration is from 11:00am to 12:30pm, with a kickoff performance from renowned Hoop Dancer Dallas Arcand.

Chubby Cree will provide halftime entertainment as contestants ranged from 12 and under, 13-18 years old, 19-54 years old, and 55 and up will be vying for prizes.

The talent search turns to jigging on Sunday with similar age categories. The halftime performance is Florence Gauthier and the Metis Child and Family Services Dancers.

There are entrance and spectators fees for the shows.
