Vermilion about to kick off 116th Fair
Vermilion’s biggest event of the year has almost arrived.
The 116th Vermilion Fair begins on Thursday and runs through Saturday at the Ag Grounds.
It kicks off every year with the parade on Thursday at 11:00am which begins at Railway Ave to Main Street downtown to the hospital.
Each day includes grandstand performances, the rides midway by West Coast Amusements, APCCA Chuckwagons & Chariots, modified and antique tractor pulls, heavy horse, equine, cattle, sheep, poultry shows, an exhibit hall, trade show, beer gardens, and fireworks on Saturday night.
Thursday even features an 80’s theme, which encourages spectators to dress up like it’s the 1980s.
The theme of this year’s event is “Moving Foward.”
A day pass costs spectators $10, while a three-day pass is $20.
