RCMP charge man with drug and stolen property crimes after curfew check
A Bonnyville man is facing additional charges and has been remanded into custody after he was found in possession of a stolen vehicle with drugs on his person while police conducted a curfew check.
Bonnyville RCMP released information on Friday that when doing a curfew check on 33-year-old Tyler Blake late evening around 10:45pm on July 1st, he was not at home.
Police said they found him later that night in possession of a stolen truck and trailer that had the VIN removed.
Upon his arrest, Mounties found methamphetamine on his person, they said.
Blake is charged with possession of stolen property under $5000, altering/destroying a VIN, possession of crystal meth and five counts of failing to comply with a release order he’d been previously released on.
He was remanded in custody to appear in court on July 5th, police said, and during that court appearance he was further remanded until July 19th.
