New roles but familiar faces at Lakeland Catholic Schools
Four educators will be in new roles next school year.
Lakeland Catholic announced on Friday that educators Sherry Depner, Benoit Côté, Elaine Ernst, and Megan Lanceleve will be shuffled into senior roles at local schools.
Ernt will become the acting principal at Assumption Jr/Sr. High School, while Depner will become the new vice-principal at AJSH.
Cote will take the vice-principal chair at St. Dominic’s Elementary School and Megan Lanceleve will be vice-principal of École Notre Dame Elementary School.
Ernst graduated from AJSH and has worked at the school for 15 years.
“I hope to bring my experience and relationships to this new role, to continue to develop the excellent programs offered here at Assumption Jr/Sr High,” said Ernst in a press release.
Depner has taught all over the world and has most recently worked as the District English Language Lead (ELL) Teacher, a role she will continue to serve, LCSD said.
“I hope to bring kindness, compassion, and joy to this role. Every new opportunity is equal parts exciting and challenging. My hope is to face it with positivity and grace,” she said in a release.
In August, Côté will assume the reins as vice principal at SDES, the place where he’s taught Grade 5/6 for the past nine years.
“I look forward to being involved as much as I can around the school, and to continue to create a safe, caring, faith-filled learning environment for our students and staff,” he said in a release.
Meanwhile, five years ago Lanceleve began her teaching career at Holy Cross Elementary School.
She hopes to continue to bring the sense of community students, staff, and families have grown to love at École Notre Dame Elementary.
“I am excited to work in a new role and the skills that come with it. I am also looking forward to being active in a different community,” she said.
