Weapons and stolen property charges handed down in Cold Lake North

Three people are facing charges after police found a stolen vehicle with weapons on the northside of Cold Lake.

On Tuesday, June 7, Cold Lake RCMP said they received a report of a sighting of a stolen vehicle located in the area of 8th Ave in Cold Lake North.

While investigating, police say they located three suspects in possession of the stolen vehicle along with a firearm.

Jeremy Nahbexie, 32, of Cold Lake, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 dollars, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, three other weapons-related charges and a fail to comply charge.

Trayson Nahbexie, 33, of Cold Lake, is charged with possession of restricted/prohibited firearm without licence, possession of property obtained by crime, and two other weapons related charges.

Dezmond Houle, 24, of Cold Lake First Nations, is facing similar charges including possession of property obtained by crime, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of restricted/prohibited firearm without licence and two other weapons offences.

RCMP said in a release on Monday morning that all three males are scheduled to appear in Cold Lake Provincial Court on July 27th, 2022.
