Tickets issued by Bonnyville RCMP to motorists for various offenses

The Bonnyville RCMP was involved in 123 investigations between March 11-18.

RCMP Traffic Services were conducting patrols in various areas of the Bonnyville RCMP jurisdiction on March 11. Several motorists were observed breaching the Traffic Safety Act and numerous violation tickets were served including Speeding, Failing to Wear Seatbelts, Driving while Suspended, Unsafe Lane Change, Driving Unregistered Motor vehicles, Driving without a Driver’s Licence, and Driving with Tinted Windows.

“These violations carry different fine values and demerit points,” Staff Sgt. Sarah Parke said.

On March 12, at noon, the Bonnyville RCMP were called to the store in Kehewin for possession of Crystal Meth investigation which revealed a 34-year-old female from Kehewin had indeed been in possession of the illegal substance.

“She was arrested charged and due to appear in court on April 19,” Staff Sgt. Parke said.

On March 14, at 11:30 p.m., members of the Bonnyville RCMP attended a residence in Kehewin to verify an individual on Curfew was abiding by the condition to remain at home. The 25-year-old male was not at home at the time.

“Members tracked him down, arrested him and he is set to appear in court on April 5,” Staff Sgt. Parke said.
