Nerf Battle returns to Bonnyville Municipal Library
Get your Nerf guns ready Bonnyville youth the Bonnyville Municipal Library has a battle planned for the enthusiast.
Nerf is one of the most popular battles out there, foam-firing guns are relatively safe and cheap.
On March 18 the darts will be flying as youth from Bonnyville will battle their way around the library after hours.
“Bring your nerf guns, leave your ammo at home, the library has the standard small blue and orange darts,” Kat Eliason Library Programmer of the Bonnyville Municipal Library said. “Please register, spaces are limited.”
Eliason told Lakeland Connect that waivers must be signed by parents and are required to play. Ages 9-12 will face off on March 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ages 13 to 16 will play from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
It’s not the first time the Bonnyville Municipal Library has hosted a Nerf battle. Let’s face it, kids love a great Nerf war.
“We regularly ran Nerf Battles before and are very excited for them to return,” Eliason said. “We try to run them a few times throughout the year, our last one was in November and everyone had tons of fun. We usually do a few types of game play, examples: capture the flag, everyone for themselves, team with the most knockouts – depends on what the group is into that night.”
There are no prizes for the victors.
“It’s all for the glory, but sometimes there’s candy,” Eliason said. “Don’t forget the gigantic scavenger hunt at the end. We need to pick-up all those darts.”
Youth can sign up at the library by calling or popping by.
“Or even send a message via social media or our website email,” Eliason said.
