Alleged break and enter thieves with meth captured by police after getting stuck in the snow
Two alleged break and enter thieves have been arrested by police after their vehicle became stuck in the snow inside a gated compound.
On February 22, at 4:15 a.m., the Bonnyville RCMP received a call from a business owner that two people in his compound were stuck in the snow.
“He further advised that there should be no one there and that they do not work for him and as it was a gated compound they could not have mistakenly driven in,” Staff Sgt. Sarah Parke said. “RCMP immediately attended the scene and found a male and female on the inside of the compound and the vehicle they were driving had become stuck.”
Both were arrested for Breaking and Entering.
The 28-year-old female from Cold Lake was found to have methamphetamine on her person, enough to qualify for trafficking.
“She was charged with Breaking & Entering, Possession of Meth for the Purpose of Trafficking and Failing to Comply with a Release Order,” Staff Sgt. Parke said. “The 38-year-old male from Cold Lake was charged with Breaking & Entering and two counts of Failing to Comply with a Release Order.”
Both are set to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on March 22.
