A Pop Up Clinic for COVID-19 Antibody testing that was scheduled for Feb 28 – Mar 1 in Bonnyville by a private blood-testing company, Ichor Blood Services, has been canceled.

“Unfortunately, due to low sign up we are going to have to cancel the Bonnyville clinic on Feb 28,”  Mike Kuzmickas, CEO of Ichor Blood Services told Lakeland Connect. “All of your credit cards will be refunded this week.”

People in the Lakeland don’t generally have access to serology testing for COVID-19 antibodies through their physicians, therefore this company tried to fill that void.

“We are not opposed to scheduling a clinic there, but the numbers need to support it,” Kuzmickas said. “I have created a new sign-up sheet, not tied to any payment, which lists all of the tests we would have available / on offer if we were to schedule a future clinic. Please do complete this if you would purchase any of these tests if we did make it up.”

Kuzmickas said, “Sorry this didn’t work out as planned but hopefully we can get something together in March or April.”
