BRFA respond to single vehicle incident on Highway 28
The accidents on Highway 28 continue today as roads in the Lakeland remain icy and slippery.
Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority crews in the Lakeland have been busy over the last 48-hours responding to incidents and motorists are advised to adjust speeds to the driving conditions.
Station 5 Bonnyville responded at 7:55 a.m. this morning to Highway 28 between RR 453 and 452 for a single-vehicle incident.
“A pickup pulling an enclosed trailer hit the ditch resulting in the trailer ending up on top of the pickup,” Regional Fire Chief Dan Heney from the BRFA said. “The driver was assessed by EMS but not transported to the hospital.”
The trailer was righted and towed along with the pickup.
