Wanted: Kashtin Sandfly who may be armed and is considered dangerous
The RCMP needs your help to find a wanted man who may be armed and is considered dangerous.
On December 21, 2021, shortly before 8:00 a.m., Loon Lake RCMP responded to a report of a firearm discharged at a residence on Island Lake First Nation.
An injured adult male was located inside the residence. Police officers made extensive patrols throughout the communities of Island Lake First Nation and Mudie Lake First Nation and did not locate a vehicle reportedly involved.
Around noon December 21, the Loon Lake RCMP responded to a report of an injured adult male inside a vehicle. Police officers located the vehicle on a remote, snowy road and an injured adult male was inside. Because the road was barely passable, police officers had to transport the injured male to a main road for him to receive medical treatment.
This investigation is active and continuing at this time.
As a result of the initial investigation, Kashtin Lee Sandfly is charged with:
- One count, discharge a firearm with intent, section 244 of the Criminal Code
- One count, being an occupant in a motor vehicle knowing a firearm is present, section 94 of the Criminal Code
A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
He is described as being 5’10 tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
He has multiple tattoos on his face and neck including star tattoos around the right eye, a bird tattoo on the right side of the neck, and the word “Loyalty” tattooed above the left eyebrow.
Kashtin Sandfly is known to frequent the communities of Island Lake First Nation, Mudie Lake First Nation, and Big Island Lake First Nation.
If you see Kashtin Sandfly, do not approach him. He may be armed and is considered dangerous.
