A 45-year-old man from Bonnyville has been arrested by the RCMP on outstanding warrants.
According to an RCMP news release, “On December 15, at 6:00 p.m., a member of the Bonnyville RCMP was patrolling South on 66 Street and observed a car registered to a male on outstanding warrants.”
Staff Sgt. Sarah Parke from the Bonnyville RCMP says, the vehicle then turned into a driveway on 66 Street.
“The RCMP member-initiated his emergency lights behind the vehicle, however, the driver had already exited the vehicle and entered the residence at that time,” S/Sgt. Parke said.
The Mounties quickly spoke to the homeowners and was able to identify the driver, a 45-year-old male from Bonnyville, and arrested him on his warrants, and transported him to the Bonnyville RCMP detachment.
“Further investigation revealed the male was a suspended driver and he was subsequently charged with that and the vehicle was towed and seized for 30 days,” S/Sgt. Parke said.
The name of the man was not released.
