New Director of Business Services at NLPS

Northern Lights Public Schools (NLPS) is pleased to announce that Brad Williams will be joining the division as Director of Business Services in December.

“Brad has had diverse experiences in financial operations from an education perspective,” said Superintendent Rick Cusson. “We are looking forward to having him bring his wealth of knowledge to NLPS and sharing it with our team.”

Williams has worked in a variety of capacities in school division finance departments, including Edmonton Public Schools and St. Albert Public Schools. He has also worked in the public sector as a budget analyst for Alberta Education and auditor for Alberta Treasury Board and Finance.

Nicole Garner is a Communications Officer with Northern Lights Public Schools.

“Brad has experience in many different aspects of finance with other school divisions and the public sector, including Alberta Education,” Garner told Lakeland Connect. “We are excited for him to join our team.”

Williams expressed his excitement to join the NLPS team.

“I am very excited to be joining Northern Lights Public Schools,” Williams said. “Over the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to talk to various people throughout the division. Everyone I have spoken to has been extremely positive and they all have mentioned that NLPS is very much a family. This mentality is very encouraging for me and I am excited to do my best to contribute to this welcoming team culture.”
