H4H Giving Tuesday: Lifting Long Term Care Campaign starts today
Today is the big day. It’s #GivingTuesday which is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. It’s a time to rally together in support of your favorite charities. A kick off to the Giving Season.
This year at Hearts for Healthcare they are holding thier Second Annual Giving Tuesday – LIFTING LONG TERM CARE CAMPAIGN in support once again of our residents at the Cold Lake Long Term Care.
Kari Leiper is the Executive Director for Hearts For Healthcare.
“Last year you helped us raise over $6000 for the purchase of slings for a Maxi500 Lift for each of our 31 residents,” Leiper told Lakeland Connect. Thank you, thank you, thank you! This year we would once again love your help in Lifting the spirits of our residents and staff at LTC.”
Leiper says their goal this year is to purchase a P500 Therapy Surface. This specialized mattress not only protects the resident’s skin but also addresses friction and pressure while maintaining comfort.
“Our loved ones are our everything and it is our hope that we can help our LTC staff in providing quality, dignified care, so that residents feel comfortable, safe and truly cherished always,” Leiper said. “Please help us reach our goals any way you are able. Making a contribution, reaching out to H4H to volunteer your time or by spreading the news about our campaign.”
Giving Tuesday is just the kick off to The Lifting Long Term Care campaign, it will run until January 31, 2022.
“If we meet or exceed our goal funds will be put towards funding other emergent equipment needs for Long Term Care,” Leiper said. “Thank you so much for your continued support and thank you for helping us in Lifting Long Term Care this giving season. Happy Giving Tuesday, stay safe and healthy! From the Hearts for Healthcare Board of Directors and the H4H Fundraising Team.”
