LCSD Board approves bus purchase loan
The wheels on the new bus will go round and round.
At the November 22 meeting, the Board approved Assumption Jr/Sr High’s request for a five-year loan for up to $97,200. These funds will be
used to purchase a new school bus.
The school currently has two buses. They are looking to replace the 2006 bus which was described by school principal Leanne MacDonald as needing repairs and becoming “Expensive and not fiscally responsible.”
The new bus, which comes at a cost of $108,000, will be paid for partially through the division loan, fundraising efforts, school funds, and Parent Advisory Council dollars.
The bus features 24 seats and a storage compartment for equipment.
