Canadiens to play 3 times, Ice host Bisons: NEAJBHL preview
The St. Paul Jr. Canadiens will face two Lakeland area opponents in this weekend’s NEAJBHL action.
On Friday, the Jr. Canadiens will host the Lac La Biche Clippers before the Vermilion Tigers come to the Clancy Richard Arena on Saturday.
The Clippers will look to reach .500 on the season in their third matchup against St. Paul this season. Head-to-head twice this season, the teams have split those contests. Lac La Biche has one game in hand on three league opponents and three games in hand on three others as well.
The Vermilion Tigers will host the Killam Wheat Kings at the Vermilion Stadium on Friday. In their last five games, Vermilion is 4-1 including a victory over the Wheat Kings on Nov. 10. Ethan Nelson and Connor Roscoe are tied with the team lead in scoring with 20 points, good enough for top 8 in NEAJBHL scoring.
The Clippers will travel to Killam Wheat Kings on Saturday.
St. Paul will also play a makeup game with Killam on Sunday after it was previously cancelled due to a brine leak.
The Cold Lake Ice play just one game this weekend–a huge matchup against the Wainwright Bisons. The Ice just beat the Bisons on Nov. 13 in a 6-4 victory. That game gets going at Imperial Oil Place on Saturday at 8PM.
