Air show returning to Cold Lake will host the RCAF Snowbirds and the CF-18 Demo Team
The Cold Lake Air Show (CLAS) will be returning to 4 Wing Cold Lake on July 16 and 17, 2022.
Aviation enthusiasts, families, and first-time air show attendees come from all over Canada to the City of Cold Lake to witness some of North America’s best in aviation.
Colonel Dave Moar is the 4 Wing Commander.
“Behind-the-scene planning and coordination are well underway by the CLAS committee to bring visitors a fun and exciting air show weekend,” Col. Moar said. “We aim to bring to the Lakeland region a sense of community connection with something for everyone to enjoy throughout the air show weekend.”
This air show’s theme will be “Saluting our Frontline Heroes,” and this year the show will be hosting the RCAF Snowbirds and the CF-18 Demo Team, But that’s not all. Stay tuned for more exciting performer updates in the coming months, 4 Wing says.
The CLAS is also in need of food truck vendors for Saturday, July 16th and Sunday, July 17 of 2022, where there will be an anticipated 15,000 spectators daily.
To be part of the event, there is a nominal fee of $500 per truck, and the requirement of each truck being operationally self-sufficient. Statement of interests will be accepted until January 12, 2022.
Tickets to the show will go on sale December 1.
