Alberta RCMP Major Crimes investigate suspicious death on Beaver Lake Cree Nation
Police in Lac La Biche are investigating a suspicious death on Beaver Lake Cree Nation after a report of gunshots.
According to the RCMP, “On Nov. 20, at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Lac La Biche RCMP responded to a complaint of multiple shots fired at a residence on the Beaver Lake Cree Nation.”
Mounties attended the residence and located a 41-year-old deceased male. The Lac La Biche RCMP secured the scene and Alberta RCMP’s Major Crime Unit were engaged and took over carriage of the investigation. An autopsy is scheduled at the Edmonton Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later this week.
Alberta RCMP Major Crimes are seeking the public’s assistance for any video surveillance, GoPro and/or home security systems in the area of Beaver Lake Cree Nation and Lac La Biche on Nov. 20, 2021, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and midnight.
