Bonnyville RCMP respond to over 140 investigations last week
The Bonnyville RCMP were involved in 142 investigations from November 5 to 12
On November 7, at 1:30 a.m. a member of the Bonnyville RCMP initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle that had been swerving. The driver failed a mandatory alcohol screening test and was charged under Provincial Sanctions for impaired driving. The vehicle was also deemed to be uninsured and the driver was charged with that also. The vehicle was towed.
On November 9, at 5:30 p.m., the RCMP received a complaint that a female was assaulted by two others at her residence in Kehewin. The Mounties immediately noted facial and other injuries to the victim. The Bonnyville RCMP located, arrested, and charged a 41-year-old female from Kehewin and an Arrest Warrant is being sought for a 22-year-old female from Goodfish. The 41-year-old woman is set to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on November 23.
On November 9, the Bonnyville RCMP received a report of a large rural residential shop that had been broken into when the suspect(s) violently rammed two large bay doors causing significant damage. The RCMP attended the scene which is located on Range Road 461 near Township Road 613 and the matter is still under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Bonnyville RCMP.
Sometime overnight on November 10, an unoccupied house under renovation on Highway 659 near Range Road 453 was broken into. The door was opened and a window had been broken. The culprit(s) stole a dishwasher, extension cords, and other personal items. The matter remains under investigation.
Sometime between November 10-12 unknown culprit(s) cut the fence and entered the yard of a business located on the 5200 block of 55 Avenue. RCMP is investigating and encouraging anyone with information to contact them.
