New automated phone system in the Town of Vermilion
The Town of Vermilion has adopted an automated phone system that has been effective since November 4.
The town is asking residents to please listen carefully to the options when calling in so your calls will be directed appropriately.
Brian Leibel is a Director with the Town of Vermilion.
“The Town of Vermilion implemented the automated phone system (also known as an automated attendant system) at a cost of $210 as well as several hours of time by the team of staff who implemented it,” Leibel told Lakeland Connect. “It was implemented for the purpose of cost savings for the Town, and is estimated that it will save us at least $356 weekly in staff time.”
Leibel says the Town of Vermilion has a great council who have encouraged cost-savings and providing great value for taxpayers funds.
“We believe this is in line with that Vision for the Town,” Leibel concluded.
