The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA) responded to a fire over the weekend which is suspicious in nature.

On Saturday, October 16, Station 5 Bonnyville responded at 11:35 a.m. to a fire just west of the C2 Centre, North of the skate park.

Dan Heney is the Regional Deputy Chief with the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority.

“The fire is deemed suspicious and RCMP were notified,” Deputy Chief Heney told Lakeland Connect.

Also on Saturday, October 16 at 1:30 p.m., Station 5 Bonnyville responded to a grass fire near Twp 602 and RR 464.

“Approximately 300ft of ditch burned along with less than a 1/4 acre of land,” Deputy Chief Heney said.

Weekend fire deemed suspicious by BRFA

The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA) responded to a fire over the weekend which is suspicious in nature.

On Saturday, October 16, Station 5 Bonnyville responded at 11:35 a.m. to a fire just west of the C2 Centre, North of the skate park.
