Bonnyville RCMP capture one suspect during break and enter, other suspect at large

The Bonnyville RCMP were successful in capturing one alleged suspect during a recent break and enter, the other suspect is still at large.

According to police, On October 12, just after 9:00 a.m. two suspicious males were noted entering onto several properties on the South side of Muriel Lake.

Sgt. Sarah Parke is the Detachment Commander at the Bonnyville RCMP.

“Bonnyville RCMP attended and in collaboration with the Cold Lake Police Dog Services and the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit one male was located arrested and charged,” Sgt. Parke said.

The 34-year-old male from Kehewin has been charged with four counts of Break & Enter, four counts of Theft Under $5000, two counts of Mischief Under $5000, Possession of Break-in Instruments and Failure to Comply with a Release Condition.

“The second male has been identified and a Warrant for his arrest is being sought,” Sgt. Parke said.

The Bonnyville RCMP are asking residents in that area to check their properties for anything suspicious and report any apparent break ins and thefts to the RCMP.
