NLPS board nominations have now closed in Ward 3 – Lac La Biche

The Northern Lights Public Schools (NLPS) Board election is only a few weeks away and three more candidates have submitted nomination forms for the one open trustee position in Ward 3-Lac La Biche.

The election which is being held on October 18 will determine who will serve as trustee in Ward-3 for the 2021-2025 term.

The three candidates who have joined the election race are Chris Newhook, Lois Phillips, and Walter Ryl.

“More information about the upcoming election will be shared on our elections page as it is confirmed,” NLPS Communications told Lakeland Connect.

Elections will also be held in Ward 1 – Bonnyville and Area and Ward 4 – Lac La Biche – Plamondon. In Ward 1 there are three trustee positions available. The candidates in that ward are Chad Colbourne, Cheryl Edwards, Lorne Kaban, Garry Kissel, Roy Ripkens, and Michael Topylki. In Ward 4, there is one trustee position available and the candidates are Stephanida Gostevskyh, Sandra Makokis, and Blair Norton.
