Bonnyville RCMP respond to thefts
The Bonnyville RCMP responded to 126 calls for service the past seven days.
On September 10, at 3:00 p.m., a 43-year-old male from Kehewin entered a local business, grabbed several items of clothing and fled the store. Then thirteen hours later on September 11, at 4:00 a.m., the same male was captured on video stealing from a local convenience store. The Bonnyville RCMP identified the male, located and arrested him for the theft. His first appearance date is October 5 for both matters.
Also on September 10, at 2:30 a.m., the Bonnyville RCMP received a report of a truck stolen from a residence along the 6000 block of 47th Avenue in Bonnyville. A few hours later the Ford F550 truck was located and recovered in Elk Point. Then at 6:30 a.m. that same day, the Bonnyville RCMP received a report of a different truck stolen from a local convenience store parking lot. The 2021 Dodge Ram had the keys inside. The truck was later located and recovered in Pierceland, SK.
Both thefts are is still under investigation.
