Lac La Biche RCMP investigate armed robbery at local motel

Police in Lac La Biche need your help to solve a armed robbery at a local motel.

According to the RCMP, “On Sept 13, 2021 at 12:07 a.m., the Lac La Biche RCMP received a 911 call of a robbery that just occurred at the Parkland 2 Motel in Lac La Biche.”

The Lac La Biche RCMP attended and further investigation indicated a male entered the hotel wearing a face covering while armed with what is believed to be a firearm. The suspect obtained cigarettes and cash before fleeing the area. The employee was not physically injured during this incident. It is unclear what type of firearm was used in the robbery.

The suspect was wearing a face covering, black hoodie with white logo/writing, black shoes, black pants and black gloves.

The Lac La Biche RCMP’s investigation into this incident is ongoing.
