Lac La Biche gas station holding Pizza Day fundraiser to help youth injured in ATV accident
The Beaver Hill Shell Gas Station & Deli in Lac La Biche is holding a Pizza Day fundraiser to help a critically injured teen.
On Sunday, September 5, 13-year-old Hussein Abadi (Hassouna) was in a serious quad accident on a family camping trip outside of Fort McMurray.
Hussein was airlifted to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton where he was rushed into surgery after suffering multiple brain injuries, including a concussion, fractured skull, brain contusions, brain bleeding, brain inflammation and broken facial bones.
He is still in a medically induced coma to help reduce the swelling.
“On Friday September 17 we will be holding a Pizza Day in hopes to help this family reach their Gofundme Goals,” The Beaver Hill Shell Gas Station & Deli posted on social media. “Every Personal Sized Pizza purchased will be donated and we will match your contributions.”
