Kitscoty Fire Department respond to single motor vehicle accident

The Kitscoty Fire Department along with help from County Engine, Heavy Rescue and County #9-1 responded to a single motor vehicle accident yesterday morning on Highway 16 near Kitscoty.
According to Protective Services from the County of Vermilion, on Aug 17, “A passing motorist didn’t hesitate upon coming across a single vehicle that had hit the guard rail several times before coming to a complete stop. Other motorist stopped to assist and a call was placed to 9-1-1.”
Crews were on-scene quickly and provided medical aid as RCMP investigated the incident. Protective Services from the County of Vermilion says one patient was transported to hospital by WPD Ambulance Care.

They would also like to remind motorist when passing emergency vehicles, you must slow to at least 60 km/hr and obey all signals from the flaggers.
“Thanks to the motorists who stopped to provide aid, to our dispatcher centre in Wainwright, and to our volunteers,” Protective Services from the County of Vermilion stated on social media. “A special shout out to our Kitscoty RCMP – who had a busy day yesterday, thank you for all you do for the County to keep us safe.”
