Bonnyville RCMP are investigating a Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision on Highway 28 near Fort Kent

The Bonnyville RCMP are currently investigating a Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision between a semi-truck and a pickup truck.

There is one fatality and no other injuries reported to the individuals involved. The collision occurred near Fort Kent.

The highway will be closed for several hours due to the police investigation. Traffic is being diverted around the collision scene at Range Road 451 to Township Road 615 and back onto Highway 28 on Range Road 452.

A collision analyst has been dispatched to the scene. The semi-truck may be laden with crude oil and leaking diesel fuel. The cause of the collision is still under investigation. The police will advise when the highway is open again to the motoring public.
