The fire ban is still in effect for the Town of Vermilion.
The town originally stated, “Due to the extreme heat and dry conditions, no open fires, including permitted fire pits will be allowed until 11:59 p.m. on July 10, 2021, the Town of Vermilion stated after a consultation with the Fire Chief.”
That ban is still in place at the moment.
