38 year old charged in Lac La Biche structure fire

On Monday, June 28, 2021, at 7:30 pm,  Lac La Biche emergency services responded to a report of a structure fire in the area of 100 Avenue and 101 Street in Lac La Biche.  Crews arrived on scene and found a residence fully engulfed.

No one was inside the residence and no injuries were reported.  During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that the fire had been deliberately set.

Jarred Lee Tyler Atkinson (38) of no fixed address, has been charged with:

  • Break and enter with intent to commit arson, and
  • Arson

Following a judicial hearing, Atkinson was released to attend Lac La Biche Provincial court on August 5, 2021.
