Update: Cold Lake Teacher Charged with making Child Pornography
A teacher with the Lakeland Catholic School Division has been charged with crimes against children.
According to an email from the RCMP, “On April 23, 2021, the Cold Lake RCMP received a complaint of alleged voyeurism that had occurred at a Cold Lake area High School involving a 16-year-old student.”
Cold Lake RCMP’s investigation resulted in the arrest of 33-year-old James Neil Morrison of Cold Lake on April 28, 2021. Morrison is charged with:
- Voyeurism
- Print/Publish/Make Child Pornography
Voyeurism is the practice of gaining sexual pleasure from watching others when they are naked or engaged in sexual activity.
Morrison was released on conditions to attend Cold Lake Provincial Court. His next scheduled court appearance is in Cold Lake Provincial Court on June 16, 2021.
As this matter is now before the courts, no further information can be provided.
