Lac La Biche County’s Community Street Ambassadors return for another summer
Lac La Biche County has announce that their Community Street Ambassadors have returned again for the Summer.
“Both of our staff members are hitting the sidewalks of our downtown core to identify community-based issues and concerns from residents, visitors and business owners within the downtown core,” Lac La Biche County stated on social media. “The program creates a bridge between the public and the County’s Enforcement Services Department.”
The positions work in an observe and report type format to the County’s on-duty Peace Officers. They also identify vandalism and graffiti, and work with property owners to have the area cleaned up.
“This year our staff are distributing an informational booklet that speaks to community bylaws, the roles of Peace Officers and RCMP, crime prevention, our Enforcement Services Safe Place program and our municipal alerting system,” Lac La Biche COunty stated.
The ambassadors can be contacted by calling the County’s complaint line at (780) 623-6767 or via e-mail at communityambassadors@lacla
