Cold Lake RCMP respond to stabbing
On May 11, 2021 at approximately 2:45 p.m. Cold Lake RCMP received a 911 call reporting a stabbing in Cold Lake North.
Members from Cold Lake Detachment, Cold Lake Police Dog Services (PDS) and the Lakeland Crime Reduction Unit (LCRU) responded and located a male whom had been stabbed multiple times and was transported to a local hospital by a family member with non life threatening injuries.
Further investigation by officers revealed that an altercation occurred between two adult male individuals. Officers received information about the suspect and tracked him to his residence in Cold Lake where he was taken into custody without incident.
Tyrell Rowan (23) of Cold Lake was charged with the following:
- Aggravated assault
- Possession of weapon contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)
- Possession of body armor
- Fail to comply with Undertaking
Following a judicial hearing, Rowan was remanded into custody to speak to his matters on May 13, 2021.
