Tanner Boser could fight again June 5 against Ilir Latifi

Tanner Boser’s next foray in the UFC octagon could be coming this summer.

Multiple MMA websites are reporting that there are talks for the Bonnyville-born heavyweight to fight Ilir Latifi at an upcoming UFC card on June 5.

Boser has not fought since Nov. 7, a loss by decision to former champion Andrei Arlovski.

The “Bulldozer” has a 3-2 record in the UFC since making his debut in the promotion on October 18, 2019, against Daniel Spitz.

If the fight goes ahead, it will be just the second fight for Latifi in the heavyweight division, coming off a unanimous decision loss to Derrick Lewis in February.

The 37-year-old MMA veteran has fought in the UFC since 2013 mainly in the light-heavyweight division. In late 2019, Latifi announced a move to heavyweight. He has a 7-6 record in the UFC.

Boser fought twice last summer within almost a calendar month, picking up decisive knockout wins over Raphael Pessoa and Philipe Lins.

The fight has not been officially announced by the UFC.
