One person has died as a result of injuries suffered during a structure fire earlier this week.
In a Cold Lake RCMP press release, authorities responded to the fire on Sunday morning at 9:30am on Lake Avenue on the north side of the city.
Upon arrival by emergency and fire crews, smoke was observed coming from the interior of the residence and one adult male was located inside the home.
The male was transported to Cold Lake hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, RCMP said.
The fire has been deemed non-suspicious by fire investigators, police said.
