Snowfall warning for the Lakeland region

A snowfall warning for the Lakeland region has been issued by Environment Canada for Tuesday, January 12th, 2021.

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.

The snow will start late Tuesday evening in the Whitecourt and Hinton areas, and overnight farther east. The snow should end early Wednesday afternoon. There is considerable uncertainty on location of the heaviest band of snow. Warnings may need to be shifted if the system develops farther south than expected.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
