Warrant roundup sees four charged with help from Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit, Lakeland Crime Reduction Unit, RCMP Air Services, Police Dog Services (PDS).

Four people have been arrested and charged after a warrant roundup of wanted individuals in Frog Lake, the Elk Point RCMP said on Wednesday.

On Dec. 2, Elk Point RCMP were doing the roundup when a stolen truck was located with occupants inside.

The youth was later apprehended by PDS and suffered minor injuries as a result of interactions with police and the dog, RCMP said.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance and released back into police custody a short time later.

During the pursuit, several items were thrown from the truck which resulted in the windshield of a police vehicle being damaged.

The truck that was recovered was previously reported stolen from Lloydminster, Alta., on Dec.1.
