Cold Lake Santa Claus parade is a go

Published On: October 29, 2020By

Cold Lake’s annual Santa Claus parade will take place this year with a few deviations from the norm to account for COVID-19.

The parade will take place November 27th at 6 pm on Main Street, and anyone interested in registering a float can fill out a registration form from either the Cold Lake Energy Centre or through www.coldlake.com.

In order for the event to adhere to AHS guidelines the following rules are in place:

  • Candy may be passed out on foot to willing participants — not thrown from a vehicle — and those handing out candy should take precautions to ensure their hands are sanitized
  • Physical distancing of 6 feet (2 meters) is required between spectators — the parade’s route has been extended to account for the extra space (route will be posted at a later date)
  • Masks are recommended if physical distancing isn’t possible

For more information on the parade send an email to energycentre@coldlake.com or call 780-639-6400.
