Smile Cookie Day raises $5K for Bonnyville Health Foundation
Smile Cookie Day, one of the many charity events hosted by Tim Hortons, was grand for Bonnyville, with thousands raised all thanks to the sales of the sweet treat.
“The community really stepped up and showed their support,” said owner Lee Bellrieve. “We pushed hard and sold as many as we could, and we’re very happy with the outcome.”
Although it’s called Smile Cookie Day, the event runs a whole week.
Between September 14th and 20th each Bonnyville location raised approximately $5000 for the Bonnyville Health Foundation.
They were founded in 1997 with the purpose of enhancing health-related programs in the community such as mental health awareness and education among other areas of interest.
